Great Lakes water access debated

After months of lobbying, Ontarians who also rely on Great Lakes water can only wait for others to deliberate.

“It’s frustrating because as mayors, we’re the ones that are delivering drinking water to our residents and making sure it’s safe.,” Twolan said.

Ontario and Quebec have voices, but not votes at the table.

Ontario has said it has serious concerns, not least of which is Waukesha is asking to divert more water than it needs, and to extend servicing beyond city borders.
